Is Becky vs Sasha at takeover confirmed? Because that match needs to be Bayley vs Sasha. Sasha and Becky's days are numbered on NXT. Kevin has almost totally disappeared from the show now, as Neville did before him. The phase-out period once you're called up to the main roster is not long, at least not long enough to reach another Takeover. The torch has to be passed to Bayley as the new division anchor or the women will be even more trouble than they are already with 3 of the 4 Horsewomen leaving..

They might be wanting to give all four Horsewomen a turn with the title before closing the door on their NXT run completely. Brooklyn would be about the latest you could probably do that with Becky, then they could bounce her back and forth for a little while in preparation to drop the title to Bayley, probably repeating that process once again soon after. The question then becomes who the hell will be ready to champion a Horsewomen-less NXT at that point. If Emma is rehabbed by then, she probably makes the most sense going up against Bayley since the history is already there.

They have their three teams of three for their Dragon Gate dealy, and I think they're actually really good teams despite the complaints people level against Brie, Naomi and Tamina. Anyway, NXT has (as far as I'm aware) always been above transitional title reigns, which is exactly what it would be is Becky got the belt and dropped it to Bayley before the next Takeover. Also, anybody other than Sasha giving Bayley the belt is a much smaller rub for her, and she deserves the biggest possible kickoff for her title reign. Also her winning the belt on "Free TV," rather than at a takeover would be super sad. Still, that's all just my opinion. I'm not trying to dump on Becky or anything, its not like she doesn't deserve to be champ as much as the others do, but I don't think she NEEDS it and I think it would be a disservice to her and the belt to make her a Champion for a tiny period just so she could say she was Champion. That kind of Resume Padding title run is something people always complained about with Big Gold. I remember people SCOFFING at the number and identity of some "World Champions," in the ring during the unification ceremony thing between Cena and Orton.

Don't forget the HYPE BROS. Mentioned this in passing in the WWE thread, but I was very intrigued by the new Elias Samson character, "The Drifter".  His acoustic playing is suprisingly decent, and he had lyrics running down the easiest target in history, the Jacksonville Jaguars, in an in ring interview segment generating a ton of heat. I've seen him before in-ring and he is kinda cookie cutter WWE as far as that goes, but this modern, realistic version of Honky Tonk Man could have legs. Full Sail would probably poo poo all over it and chant over anything he would try to however.

Dawkins & Wilder is another tag team they have, who look to be just the remains of Shoot Nation. Samson's been tagging with random partners the past few weeks so if they're going to put that gimmick on TV it'll have to be before a team he's in catches on. The Women's division isn't in terrible shape though. Bayley's obviously far and away the best talent if the 3 call-ups leave, but they have some decent indie talent and not all of their developmental women are as bad as Dana. In general I feel like once more people get the Kevin Owens treatment (as in, complete talents who just need a couple months to adjust to the style), we'll see a lot more people speeding through NXT and it'll go back to the developmental feel we had a couple years ago.

I don't know anything about Shoot Nation besides the name and that they are amateur wrestlers. Shoot Nation is a cool name and if you have a bunch of cocky rear end in a top hat wrestlers wrecking people's poo poo, I'd be on board with that.

The tag team undercard is a blur of Firstname Lastnames sometimes. I'd really like to see a tag team tournament for #1 contendership at this point. I wonder if we will get a Heel vs. Heel in the Dubstep Dudes, they still Team BAMF?, versus the Vaudvillians or if say at Takeover if it will be Vaudvillians vs Enzo/Cass for #1 contender. I am kinda surprised that Enzo/Big Cass have not won the NXT tag titles and have a nice long run with them. They could hold on to the NXT tag titles till after Wrestlemania and be brought up to lead the main roster tag team division in 2016. Right now it seems like we get Enzo/Cass once a month in squash matches or loosing #1 contender matches I think they Wyatts got a good rub out of the NXT tag titles and they 3 man with Neville/Graves/Regal vs the Wyatt Family was great. I know I was watching NXT when the Wyatts moved up the roster and they crowds reacted accordingly. of the list given I could only see Enzo/Cass being moved up flashy_mcflash posted:Right now they have the NXT tag division is in about as bad shape as the main roster tag division.
