Serious question do people ever "grow out" of being furries? Or is it that once you go furry you're stuck that way? Just asking. for a friend..

Obligatory Anna Meets the Furries link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htq3FwZ1mw8 Why are they all wolves and foxes? Why are they all fat and ugly? Why do they have no concept of basic social boundaries or any social skills? All your questions will be answered, including questions you don't want to ask. Like "What is a fur-pile?"

EXTREME INSERTION posted:Someone once posted a realistic boar or deer mask, can't remember which but it was terrifying to the point where I wanted to order it and either terrify small childrEn or commit armed robberies with it but alas it was like a couple hundred dollars Was it something like this? This lady has a DeviantArt (of course), where she makes and sells various masks and heads for use in outdoor LARP events. I can see that she's a big World of Darkness LARPer since she has one of her masks labelled as a Black Spiral Dancer, the bad guy faction in Werewolf: The Apocalypse.

I think if I had to be one I'd want to be the mantis shrimp cause then I could see all the colors and the ones we can't see. Also I could punch people with force so deadly it causes cavitation in water. But nah they'd rather be a stupid fox that smells like rear end and is half retarded.VendaGoat posted:Some are skellies. The Dregs posted:How do you be an un-obnoxious furry? It is impossible. I know there's some normal furries out there because I've done some 2D animation work and met quite a few of them, because of course furries would be drawn to that profession. The big difference between those freaks in the Youtube videos and the "cool" furries are they keep it highly on the DL and don't (I think?) seem to be into the sex part. No collars or tails or "MURR MURR ^-^" poo poo. You'd have no idea unless you happened to look in their sketchbook and knew from the internet what drawings of animal-people meant

Are they really a furry though if all they do is sometimes draw anthropomorphic animals because they think they're cute or whatever and they don't want to gently caress them or get dressed up like a mascot to "yiff" and "paw off?"

HoAssHo posted:Are they really a furry though if all they do is sometimes draw anthropomorphic animals because they think they're cute or whatever and they don't want to gently caress them or get dressed up like a mascot to "yiff" and "paw off?" That's a tough call. If you like playing Sabrewulf in Killer Instinct are you a furry? If you like werewolves in general, are you a furry? If you like really cartoony stuff that involves animal people technically, like Looney Tunes and Mickey Mouse, are you a furry? I have a feeling there's a lot of people who like that stuff and would probably consider themselves a furry if it didn't come with the creepy inflating kangaroo mascot-from-hell costume yiff yiff murr purr stuff. Like a regular anime fan may be a person who watches the occasional anime without being weird about it, where as the otaku picks a 5 year old looking character as his waifu and walks around with pocky sticking out of his pocket screaming "BAKA DESU NE UGUU" literally unable to talk about anything else but his favorite wall-eyed schoolgirl show.
