It's true, even in China. I tutor English to a 43 year old divorced Chinese woman, and she's told me that if I ever need "comfort" I can come to her house because "travelers are lonely." I tried to pretend I didn't know what she meant, and then she straight up said "I like your strong body." I'm 30 and I half-rear end my lifting, but pretty much anything looks better than the doughy and watery pot-bellied Chinese guys once they reach my age (and especially her age).
