Cuba owns. The food is also amazing, what's up with the dudes who claim they eat dirt because of the embargo? When I was there, they were like: Yo, I caught this fish this morning, want to grill it and eat it? Awesome. And don't go to those resorts ffs, nothing Cuban about them. You find them all over the world and they are all the same. Oh, and another thing, Cuba was one of the first countries in the world to send medical teams to help fight the ebola crisis. They are cool.

if cuba's quality of life metrics are unreliable because the cuban dictatorship is lying or suppressing the true nature of the situation, then why are the metrics in dictatorships like zimbabwe so bad? why do we have accurate measurements of the murder rate in venezuela? cant myanmar or uzbekistan just tell the who "everyone here lives 80 years and has all they need" makes you think

JB50 posted:Whats not to love? Many Cubans who leave the country nowadays do so both because many have relatives in the USA and because the USA continues to be viewed as a "land of opportunity." There are plenty of people from other Caribbean countries who leave them in favor of finding a new life in the USA, no one argues that countries like Jamaica or Barbados are living hells or are run by repressive dictators.
