I've been out of the game for a while, but it seems like unnecessary XOs before we get a handle on folk is still a bad idea? I'm not being accusatory I just don't know how much the rationale has changed recently.

I continue to be largely useless, so I'm going to try and remedy that situation.

I forgot how fun this is. :psylon:

But no, I'm afraid I'm not your enemy. I'm not sold that the best strategy is to just feed XOs on the first round of actions. I took the least immediately useful card in my hand to move into a position to better utilize my title. And you'll have to trust that I wouldn't blindly discard an XO if I didn't have to.

I get it, because I remember the last time we played (2012?) we had it down to a science what the optimal moves were and deviation from it was instant suspicion. Its my first time playing with Daybreak/Defcon and I lack most of the meta knowledge. That said I think my actions are sound-

My rationale is that XOs are dangerous in the first round of actions, and I will absolutely cop to making a self-serving play to improve the tools my character has when there are no pressing threats on the board and it is unlikely I will be getting ANY XOs given who my character is. Getting a Quorum hand together to help on subsequent rounds and sparing a low value card I was not going to play seemed a reasonable trade.

I can play high into this. My point about the poor cards was directed to having low value stuff initially. Its up to you, honestly. I can play and you can tank and my cards are discarded. Either way if I die I lose my hand. Or if someone is going to strat plan the roll then very well, I leave my fate in the hands of chance.

It's up to you. I can play high or not at all.

Yeah, that was REALLY super sketch. I'm pretty sure you could have SOMETHING more useful to do with your turn than playing a mutiny card with absolutely no positive net gain. It's not like there's a location to safely discard mutiny cards or anything. v:shobon:v

The good news, is that I, Baltar, can undo the worst of it myself next turn. Or have somebody else do it. Or take out the Admiral.

Because I was right and my actions drastically increased the tools I have at my disposal to help you.

Can we brig him? He likely can't fight the check and he's done enough damage already.

I can possibly brig him on my turn. Note the possibly.

Or I can fix the ship from the comfort of my cell.

Or I can go have one of you ill-educated wrench monkeys go do something for me.

I mean, really, I always have a plan. Give me a little credit.

Or if you really want to be sure before we do this, you can have me use my ability pre-sleeper. Which is dumb, but you know, if it stops us from doing something stupid like throwing a second human player in the brig.

Is losing POP better than more ships on the board?

And as for the XO, I'm happy to because I'm not dumb enough to discard my only XO please give me a little credit. But I have an option that can possibly save us from having to play in to a brig check and waste even more of our resources. But hey, as long as I'm chilling in this cell you won't have to worry about an activation on my turn.

##LEA-1 XO Fits

Here's your chance Admiral.

Frankly, if he reveals w/e, and I can try to counteract the effects. The important thing is that he either takes care of the Basestar and saves us having to waste more resources in another brig check, or he reveals and our destinations will be chosen by a non-toaster.
