On a spectator guess, "woo-woo" is an insult directed at New Age spirituality/mysticism/pseudoscience. Things like crystal healing or magnetic chi realignment or whatever could be described as woo-woo crap. So things like Ghost, Pyramid, Cross, Bell (used in pagan rituals), et cetera.

I was trying a lot of death-themed words (tombstone, funeral) but couldn't get them to include Bell without Church. Barry did have that gift but he was also careful to not clue Church.
