I got a Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon because it looked badass. Wish I got something more modern in retrospect.

Rented a Nissan Altima on a trip recently and felt like a futuristic space car compared to my jeep.

Think I chose poorly in retrospect.

I like those but I don't really want an automatic, plus they are too fancy or something. I can't quite explain why, but I don't like how they look. I want a truck that is more plain looking.

edit: basically I want one of those early-2000s style Ford Ranger crew cab diesel 4x4s that you see in news reports from Afghanistan or wherever, but a 2016 model with a warranty and everything. Just as basic and utilitarian as possible; rubber floors instead of carpet, crank windows if possible, manuals transmission, etc.
