Who am I playing this week anyway? I don't recognize the team.

Gotta say, I'm really happy Bridgewater to Johnson wasn't a thing last night or Hyde and the Niners having an offense would have scared me.

I'm... not even sure I know anything about the NFL at all anymore after this week. I picked 4 winners out of all the games. What a weird-rear end week.

I'm pretty pleased. I'm in that rare situation where I don't have a single player on my bench who outscored one of my starters. (Of course, this is because my bench is full of injured players, and junk...)

...also, my opponent started DeMarco Murray, who was Out this week. Don't forget to check your team before game day for injuries, folks! Starting next week, we'll have teams on bye, as well.

Hey guys are we all still paying attention? This waiver session was pretty dry despite some major NFL things going on.

So here's a friendly reminder to check your bye weeks, drop players who are out for the season, maybe take a look at some football mans you might want to pick up or trade for, etc.

e. The Bolton Wanderers started a player on BYE (Jordan Cameron) and a player who was inactive (Alshon Jeffery) this past week. The Thay Ballomancers started a kicker who is a free agent and has never played an NFL game (ESPN thinks he's on the browns, but he's not; their kicker is Travis Coons.)

I thought my kicker was underperforming.

I'd argue if a kicker really ever exists, though.

I'm going to second this. Because when you don't set your lineup and start players on bye you're giving the game away. It messes with the standings and it's not fair to the other teams.

I'm looking at you Bolton Wanderers and SanSan Jacksons...

Anyone can accidentally have a busy week and forget about fantasy football, but if you do it two weeks in a row I think we have to start a conversation about replacement. I don't want to be mean at all, but I do put a lot of effort into this and it sucks to be taking losses against teams that are genuinely trying, while other teams get free victories.

This week I don't think either team would have won their games based on starting their best benchers, so it's not like the season is ruined or anything. I just think maybe we should have a formal policy.

My paper soldiers form a wall, five paces thick and twice as tall.
I've no interest in chasing people down to remind them or issuing warnings so I'm just going to say it's a two-strike rule. If you've got starters on Bye, or are starting FAs or IRs, two weeks in a row without some explanation, then I'm gonna find a replacement. That's starting from this past week's slate of games.

I'm not going to get on people's cases over starting other injured players unless it becomes a big problem.

Leperflesh
May 17, 2007

Seems reasonable to me.

Sent an email to the Waiver Wire Bandits with some trade ideas; I'm hoping you can get back to me before waivers go through tomorrow.

Is it just me or are there just a lot of really uninspiring teams this year? Lots of cases of teams winning but not generating much in the way of fantasy results doing it, feels like.

Leperflesh
May 17, 2007

Nah I've noticed that too. On the other hand, there seems to be a fair number of good RBs emerging. I poked through everyone's rosters this morning and almost everyone is able to start RBs in their flex spots, with one or two more on the bench just in case. There's some standout rookies emerging and several teams previously known as passing specialists suddenly have a run game this year.

I think for fantasy what we're seeing is quite a few teams that are winning by spreading the ball around a lot. RBBCs, QBs throwing to seven or eight or nine targets, tough defensive play, and lower-scoring games on average. That's just an impression, though, I haven't tried to find stats to back that up.

Leperflesh
May 17, 2007

The Jacksons have set a startable lineup but the Bolton Wanderers have not rostered a quarterback that isn't on bye. There are eleven starting QBs on the waiver to choose from.
