Perhaps a way to reimagine green in this set would be the influence of money: it allows you faster growth, lots of creatures to overwhelm your opponents, and big unstoppable creatures. Viewed in this light, green would be the color of campaign contributions, super PACs, billionaires, and similar.

I'd also see green as the environment (natch) and economic growth, infrastructure investment, and so forth. With black taking the role of naked environmental exploitation, as per the normal division of predation between black and green.

Here's what I've seen as the SA interpretation of colours, going back through the thread: Green: Environment, Money, Pot, other drugs, Grassroots, hilariously poor political decisions, New England States Black: Industry, Exploitation, Pollution, Crime, Oppression, Minorities, Murder/Death, immediately good but short-sighted and self-harming political decision, and the most selfish, egotistical, misonthropic Republicans, and undead liches (Dick Cheney) White: Law & Order, White people and white voters, Police & Military, Racism, and the Establishment (and its anointed candidates) Red: Spite, Rage, firearms, Republican populists Blue: Joe Biden, good political decisions, hopes and dreams, cool or low-key (or low energy) behaviour, Republican politicians tend to be some combination of Black, White or Red, with the exception of Jeb! who is White and Trump who is Gooooold. The Republican Base is White and Red Democratic politicians tend to be Blue or White. The Democratic base is White and Blue. Colorless is foreign labour and independent candidates (or candidates it is impossible to take seriously, see: Herman Cain, Ron Paul)
