I've eaten grizzly bear, gator, and horse. The bear and gator were tasty. I wouldn't recommend eating horse.

Gator's not really that uncommon, plenty of cajun restaurants serve it and they always sell gator kebabs at carnivals and some festivals. I've had rattlesnake before but I was probably 10 or 11 and don't really remember what it tastes like. I've had sea urchin too at a fancypants sushi tasting dinner once, that stuff is pretty strange. It basically tastes like if you walked knee-deep into the ocean, grabbed a fistful of sand and shoved it in your mouth. None of my friends would eat it after their first bite so I ended up eating the rest because while it wasn't.... very good... it also wasn't really that revolting either, more of a curiosity, and when the hell am I going to get a chance to eat sea urchin again without paying for it (because I wouldn't).

Not sure if consider meat, but they were animals: chapulines (grasshoppers), gusanos de maguey (maguey worm, cooked, not in mezcal) and escamoles (ant eggs, not technically an animal yet I guess).
