Though unless you win 3 summer boats it's usually comparable with the other scoring boats. (Since it's 2/4/8/16/32vp for boats and you get the winter one.)

Okay, having looked this up, you're right. The rules read 'for each boat connected score the listed amount' which is basically insane.

Goddamn 6-player boat in winter is the dumbest scoring boat though.

And that's why I'm not prepared to run 6 player PBPs.

I mean, 32vp from a winter boat is pretty nuts but you're shooting your economy in the foot to get there since you need to win all 4 summer boats (and they have to all have come out), though 1 of them is getting you free meeples every turn and wildcard boat makes you more flexible when it comes to resources. I've never seen above 20 from a winter boat (White Wind I is crazy in some strategies) but that was a lot of VP.

Shame the resource summer boat is on the endgame points side. I'd really like to see someone take it for the upgrade resources side, and flip it over at the end of the game with the winter boat bonus.

Well, I mean more that the wording in the book 'score the indicated amount for each boat on your river' is real bad and I've played at least one game where the players puzzled over it and decided it meant a total of 2/6/14/30/62 vp (i.e. 2+4+8...) It's really bad wording on that tile in general.

The update process is briefly paused here - note that Tavern means 'give up one worker, get two'. That's on top of the worker you place on it - you need to nominate a colour to toss.

This feels like a very conservative summer. Maybe it's all the greens preventing fights over important tiles, or maybe it's that everyone's buried the class war this time. (The academic greens are ruling the waves.)

Wait, I see it on the Quarry. How does resource generation work with regards to where the thingies end up? If I make them away from home, they end up at home, otherwise they're on the tile?

Yeah, everything from out of town ends on your home tile, everything produced in town pops up where it's generated.
