Trainwreck was much more enjoyable than Birdman. I missed the last half hour because I had to take a massive poo poo and I don't even care, THAT was more enjoyable than finishing this movie.

What's cool about the Oscars now is that there are so few movies that aren't sequels or foreign that giving the award out is like solving one of those sliding squares puzzles with 1-15 and a blank square that has been mussed up, except last year it was one of those 1-8 + blank ones for idiots.

The film was a pretentious, cynically-constructed Oscar-grab that was monumentally satisfied with its own cleverness. If I wanted to watch a haggard past-their-prime film star ostentatiously moan in pleasure while huffing their own farts I would slip Chasey Lain $5 worth of worth of meth in an alley.

I used to watch Birdman as a kid on cartoon network. It was dumb. Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law was even more dumb. A movie based on either of those seems dumber still even it does star Michael Keaton. (and before you respond, yes I know the film isn't based on either of those)

Birdman was okay but it's got that thing going where every pretentious pseudo-intellectual latches onto it and declares it the next coming of christ because it had a muddled ambiguous ending and they are so desperate to prove that they are more cultured and insightful than everyone else.
