The NCHC will not expand for now, leaving AZ State and Minnesota State on the outs.

And the WCHA will now, if the game is not determined at the end of a 5 minute 5-on-5 OT, play a 3-on-3, then shootout, largely as a fun thing. Games that go beyond 5-on-5 OT will not count towards NCAA tourney selection.
