Why it's time for some NCAA Ice Hockey! Congrats to Union, for existing, and winning the national championship! This year, it's a time for laughs, and mostly a time for tears, because all of our teams suck in brand new unique ways. For example, Jack Eichel is now gone, meaning that hopefully Boston sucks a little bit more. Other important story lines include: Mankato State shouldn't be a DI team, and they suck. Go University of Minnesota-Duluth, and go Minnesota sports teams in general (except St. Cloud and Mankato State, so basically go Gophers and Bulldogs). The Wisconsin Badgers continue their tailspin into nothingness, and Nebraska-Omaha continues to get better. If you want to find a real fun storyline, see how good Boston U actually is without their sweetheart, Jack Eichel, who now plays for the Buffalo Sabres, a fate much worse than death! OH MY GOD, HOCKEY SOUTH!!!! Arizona State will play four hockey games this year, they will be obliterated, but you might as well watch. UPDATE Bowling Green has a hockey team? If you didn't know that, talk to DJExile! If you want a unique team to cheer for because you cheer for a DIII team (like me, wahhhh wahhh), then I suggest the following: Miami-OH University of Minnesota Duluth Yale Union Alabama-Huntsville (They're real bad, y'all) What are the conferences? Shamefully stolen from our resident Michigan Hockey fanatic, Neodoomium! Neodoomium posted:Atlantic Hockey Which teams are the least just, therefore cannot be cheered for? Mankato Denver North Dakota Penn State Notre Dame There we go, NCAA hockey fans are happy to teach you if you want to join our happy family this year! The first games will really start in October, get your hype on now and talk about your favorite recruits, and why your team is bad

BG actually has a pretty manageable schedule this year, now that I look at it. Although, they open with a home-and-home with Ohio State, then promptly go on the road for a literal month (@WMU, @Canisus, @RIT, weekend @Anchorage) because reasons. Also a home-and-home with Miami so hey OYM

Michigan is not going to have a good hockey team this year, as they have not had in the last handful. But this year they seem to know it, as I got literature regarding buying season tickets this season. I'm in my 2nd year out of undergrad. An undergrad of History and Anthropology. How much loving money do you dopes think I have?

However, the advertising for season tickets isn't about a subpar team, it's, surprisingly enough, related to how Dave Brandon Co. pissed off the hockey season ticket holders. At least Werenski should be good.

Michigan being the preseason pick to win the Big Ten is basically suggesting they are the cripple in the cripple fight with one working leg. Jake Hildebrand sucks and he's working his his 8th year of college. Graduate already, kid. Even if it's from State. Also, unsubstantiated rumor that Arizona State is joining the Big Ten next year for hockey, similar to Johns Hopkins joining it for Lacrosse. They are already better for the conference than Rutgers.
