Lotta good dips out there for chips and more Do you like pico de gallo?  Or are you more of a salsa verde guy:  I saw a recipe of a crazy salsa involving PEANUTS!!! Haven't tried that one yet but I will in the future  I think Pace Picante is probably the best storebought salsa that's widely available. I'm sure theres some hipster salsa out there thats better but you probably cant find that in a gas station now can you?  Good for cooking, too:

Are you more of a creamy dip kinda person? That's cool too. The classic "queso dip", traditionally made w Velveeta and a can of Ro-Tel:  Some even make the dip with a tube of Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage! I bet its good, but I havent tried this one:  Some people like crab dip! This one is served hot and straddles the line between "dip" and "meal" (hot point of contention) but I think its tasty all the same:  Buffalo chicken dip is also served hot. Less of a meal IMO. Plenty tasty!!!

Finally, the third category: veggie based I think everyone likes guacamole, right? Its great tasty stuff!  Mmm-mmmm lovely! That looks great Spinach-artichoke dip. Probably my least favorite dip. I dont think it tastes very good and it goes poorly with chips. Its beloved and well-known though, so I'll include it.  Bean Dip! Fritos brand Bean Dip is the prototypical bean dip, and its still the best IMHO.  Hummus! A tasty, exotic dip from the Far East. Also features beans (chickbeans to be exact)

don't make me choose man. all dips are lovely, sometimes you're just in the mood for one over another. although a well made guac is heavenly.... It's all good except poo poo with fruit flavors in it. no, I don't want to dip my chips in strawberry flavored sour cream you freaks!!

I like the nasty plasticky queso dip from a jar. Microwave that poo poo up, eat with chips, alone, hating yourself, questioning life. My family always has potato chips and onion dip on holidays/barbecues, the kind where you mix a packet of onion soup mix into a container of sour cream. It's not fancy but it tastes pretty good  Crab and lobster dips are really good, but I like them even better with baguette slices. Same with spinach dips. Anything creamy. I guess that opens the door to the realm of fondue, but that is definitely not chips and dip.
