How the gently caress is this company still alive?

TNA has TV in the can until the start of October. If we don't hear anything about TV tapings in the next week, TNA's done.

This company is petty enough (they invented the idea of TNA Genesis and filmed real segments for it and thereby cost themselves money, in order to troll...someone?) that I could see them putting on a Bound For Glory recap show mixed with some of the million matches they shot at the last taping on the air just to 'prove Dave wrong' and have one episode in October.

theoretically, they could dig into the One Night Only shows and pull matches for broadcast. And since they're in the business of burning money they could do all new commentary over them.

While nothing has been stated to talent and employees regarding the future of TNA on Destination America as of yesterday, the company, on its web site, and Destination America, are still listing the show for 9 p.m. and midnight on 10/7.

The Discovery Network had sent a memo to employees in May stating that they were going to exercise their option to cancel the show at the end of September.

The last taped episode of Impact was scheduled for 9/30.

According to one company source, the belief is that a lot of matches that were taped during the early part of the tapings that were not taped as part of an Impact show will be able to be put together for international programming to fill the commitments, and that could be done for domestic commitments as well.

Right now the company has not scheduled any future television tapings, but there is a deal being negotiated for tapings to be done in late November in India.

I wish there was some stable/at least halfway above-the-board way to watch the old NWA/TNA Weeklies, if only because I went to all of them live and barely got to experience any of Don West's announcing. I stopped watching in ANGER when they left Nashville. I also probably missed a lot of stuff in the backstage segments, too.

One of the few smart things TNA ever did was to give Scott Steiner plenty of mic time.

E: Durign this whole thing, Petey Williams was beside him as "little Petey Pump", in matching shades and chainmail, looking confused as gently caress trying to follow him. It was amazing.

We would be here until next week.

4 inductees of the 5 were castoffs from other companies.

The fifth was technically a castoff, but he also founded the company, so he gets a bit of a pass.
