Thailand is pretty overrated, too. Every time I hear someone talk about visiting there I can't help but remember that it's under a military coup and most people only travel there to gently caress kids.

Canada (from a US perspective). Canada is the one country every American dreams of defecting to any time the government does something to make them angry. What I believe most people don't realize is that the current state of Canadian politics are much the same as they experience in the US. Harper is a bad, conservative republican man who hates women, whistle blowers, bank regulation, universal health care, acknowledging climate change, budget surpluses, and will probably be PM till he dies or something. Oh yeah and Canada has treated their natives like poo poo and continue to do things like make them go to separate schools and things.

It was all Germany I'm talking more about the reunification process and not the act of the wall falling. Imagine North Korea and South Korea trying to reintegrate again. Germany powered through that process fairly quickly and painlessly considering the logistics involved.
