wtf. i was looking this up because i thought 1980 was a winter olympic year and i was kinda baffled that an african team could compete against nordic/canadian/us/soviets but there was a winter and summer olympics that year?

Is there a single African nation that isn't war torn or completely economically ruined? There has to be a limit on how far you can blame colonialism, when are we going to see some hot new phone or viral app come out of Africa?

Uganda and Rwanda are pretty decent countries, although both still meddle in the Congo and their "presidents" have been in power a bit too long I've been living in the Congo for two years and it's pretty awful

I don't have many photos on these computer but here are a couple from western Uganda, near the Congo border. My friends and I went gorilla and chimpanzee trekking out there and it's stunningly beautiful  Sadly I don't have many photos from here in the Congo unless you're interested in, uh, farms
