So does Murphy have like special powers now that let him jump off that building? I don't really understand, I guess he is immune to everything but bullets, or maybe he is, just doesn't want to be caught.

He landed in the pool of bodies, which acted like a cushion

He jumped into the dead pool, ha-cha-cha.

(Actually that would be pretty good if that was intentional, considering the entire episode was basically "which one of them will actually die in their near-death moment")

Aleuts rock, chummer.

I live just outside of Spokane where they're shooting it and a reporter asked the actors if they'd consider permanently moving to Spokane and they just laughed at the question and a ton of rednecks got butthurt. I saw the story on the news website right next to, "Family car stolen 3 times in 2 years." I work the late shift and when I'm driving through Spokane at night... yeah the show ain't much of a stretch.

Alive but there's brief shot of his hand that shows a bite/wound of some kind on it. Going with he'll be back and a problem later.

That episode was just all around awesome TV. Addy beating a clueless Murphy was the best ending.

I guess the show had no trouble find redneck looking extras for the show.

Thanks Spokane!

Yeah. I think Day of Reckoning is actually a pretty good movie. It's cool that they were able to get Hyams to direct this.

Hyams is a producer on the show iirc and did a bunch (like four or 6?) episodes last season too. And yea, Day of Reckoning was great.

Holy poo poo, what an episode. One of this show's strengths is how fast it can change its tone - it went straight from zombie lesbian strippers to an intense balls-out hour of action. I love that you have no idea where the show is going from week to week.

One of my favorite bits was the zombies trailing Murphy. Great little detail too is how they're not just following him, but matching his stride as well.

So happy this show is back. On the heels of Fear the Walking Dead it's nice to get some legit awesome zombie stuff.

I really liked the washed-out look of this last one, gave it the feel of some serious cinema

Oh and for whoever mentioned the Oxy stash and viagra zombies, did you not watch the teaser for ep 3? Z-Weed!

Sometimes when I watch this, I like to pretend its all the same universe as TWD and now I geuss FearTWD, and get lost in How would The Murphy and Doc deal with the Governor? or Rick and his ghost-phone and hearing Citizen Z on the other end, or 10k using a crossbow instead of a sniper. Where is he going to find 10 thousand bolts??

I really hope at some point the Z-Nation people run into TWD character parodies. And it just totally wrecks their poo poo because it would be hilarious.

This show is really entertaining, until I saw this thread I'd avoided watching it because the name is really stupid, but after binge watching it over the past week it made me realize how boring and slow paced TWD is. This show accomplishes in an episode or two more than TWD does in a season, and I don't feel like I'm really missing anything.

I'm forgetting the name of it, but there was a zombie movie that had parodies of the Rick, Carl, and Daryl characters, and also a Zombieland parody. It was dumb but worth a laugh, and the Daryl spoof was pretty good, since he was absolutely useless, but was convinced he was badass as Hell. E: It was called The Walking Deceased

I really hope a WD pastiche group shows up...

As for how these characters would deal with WD types, my working theory is always Murphy would piss everyone off, Doc would de-escalate the situation with some 'pharmaceuticals'.

Sounds great - is that from Asylum(?) that is known for their blatant ripoffs of blockbusters? Please be on Netflix

This last episode was more action packed and better done then most of the big season finale setpieces of TWD.

If the name is Metástasis it's the Spanish remake of breaking bad. Hence the periodic table use.

The show at least tries it create new setpieces and give each episode it's own tone.

You get everything from doc trying to calm a zombie with weed smoke, to a crazy action setpiece in the last episode.
