I think my fundraising is suffering because last year I supported the hospital in the area I'd lived for 4 years (2010-2014), and this year I'm supporting one in the area I only lived for a year (2014-2015). The amount of donations from people in the 4-year place has plummeted and I didn't meet enough people in the 1-year place to offset it  Sick kids are sick kids everywhere, people!

Last year we managed about $400 which was way beyond my expectations so this year I wanna blow past $500 and beyond. Since last year we had a mega man 8 race between 2 people that never really played mega man, this year they'll be racing Mega Man X for the first time, one of my personal favorite games of all time. We'll also be retiring 10 player bomberman this time in favor of 6 player Space Jam and some Bomberman 64. There will also be some late night Illbleed and lots of steam 4 player indie games, retro games, and fun surprises. We're pretty excited this year, we've got more space, new streaming tech, and a bunch of dumb ideas.

It will by no means be professional but I have all the assets ready to go and a lovely template so I can churn out things. I made twitch banners for before, during (stream will go down frequently for PS4 game changes), and after. Also I'm doing it on Friday so the date is different but can be changed. I did get a trial for Twitch Premium so there won't be ANY commercials (and most if not all of us will be in that boat). One question: When we're doing this, are we going to be putting our game names in the 'playing' field, or just setting it to Extra Life? I'm just curious about that.

People are people and kids need help regardless of where they live. This made me incredibly angry earlier. Anyway, we're doing a straight 24 hours from this Friday starting at midnight GMT. I've written up a loose schedule of all the games we're hoping to play and I'll be spending the rest of the week prepping all of them to make sure they work within our OBS layout. I just realized the EL font I use is caps-only and bit.ly is case-sensitive, can you edit this to be all-caps so people can type it in to their address bar? Sorry! No such issues for twitch, that's all good. e: I actually created two bit.ly links, one in all caps and one in all lowercase. That way if people just type in the lowercase version of my link it still directs them to the donation page. I officially cleared my amount raised from last year and am within $100 of my $1k goal. Really excited this year, since we'll have an open house where people can come and go, so I'm hoping lots of guests will show up. I'm hosting a bunch of people at LFG this year. I think all told we've raised over $2500 with our team + another team coming in to play with us. Hopefully I'll be able to get some footage of us playing 4-8 player Gang Beasts, the new CoD campaign, terrible Kerbal rockets and maybe a full play through of Pillars of Eternity. And probably some Dota/Smite/League where we all do terribly. One of the people in our group is still at 0 dollars. He's one of the local kids from the neighborhood who wanted to do this with us. I wouldn't be mad if some people would throw $5 his way so he doesn't feel bad. Hope everything holds up as I go through these three games before 8 AM on Sunday. 8 AM PST: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Naked & Unloved, where I will play through a fresh new game with no health or energy upgrades (in addition to no weapon attack or strength upgrades. New moves are fine though). 4 PM PST: Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition - Legendary Dark Knight Vergil, where I will play through also on a fresh new game as Vergil through the game's former PC-only gimmick mode. 12 AM PST: Killer is Dead - Nightmare Difficulty, where I play through the game on the highest difficulty level, which I have not touched prior to this stream. Pray for me. Anyway, about 15 minutes until the Naked and Unloved portion of the marathon begins. Here's to a good one. Oh, and if the donations amount on stream looks less than what is on my profile page, the tracker I'm using for whatever reason is counting the last two donations I had received as "null" and not updating the text file properly. Only thing that's wrong, but whatever I opted for this than a web based tracker.
