what I meant to say is that that's one of the least funny sequences in that episode although obviously because it involves statements being repeated over and over it was easy for everybody to remember it and repeat it over and over themselves the episode itself I enjoyed a lot, highlight being "It's okay to shoot them, they're robots!"

stymie is right, the show's ability to tackle difficult and upsetting themes sensitively, seriously and maturely is part of what makes it such a great cartoon

its not that big of a red flag. i remember futurama trying to be edgy-gross like that (for a network tv show) on the pilot with bender and then they never did it again except when it was actually funny
