Stark Raving Mad. Once upon a time you could cancel a show with a 10.7 household share, a top 20 rating, an award, good reviews and NPH after one season :argh:

New series is legit in production now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReBoot

Wonder if they'll make a great show in the modern era or spend 20 mins per episode referencing memes and cultural phenomena.

quote:

Transcending age groups with appeal to kids, tweens and teens, ReBoot: the Guardian Code is an adventure-comedy series about four teens (Austin, Parker, Grey and Tamra) who discover that they're next-gen Guardians with a mission to save the world, by defending it in cyberspace. The Internet revolutionized the world, but it also left it vulnerable to attack. With the help of VERA, the last surviving cyberbeing from the original Guardian Program, our heroes stream into cyberspace where they use their awesome code-based powers to battle viruses that have been unleashed by a ruthless hacker. Known only as the Sourcerer, he seeks to rule the world by controlling cyberspace. Original fans of the show will be happy to hear that Megabyte will be back and he's getting a major upgrade. ReBoot will showcase leading edge technologies and bring coding into the mainstream for kids.

When Austin, Parker, Grey and Tamra are not trying to stop viruses from overloading a nuclear power station, or remotely opening a dam to flood a city, or playing Criss Cross Crash Hour with a city's transportation grid, our heroes are being typical teens: arguing with their parents over curfews; dealing with crushes; or trying to avoid getting suspended for skipping class when they're really on a cyber mission to save the world!

can't wait

Well, it was bound to happen. Bradley Whitford was in an Apatow show or two. That is akin to the Macbeth kiss of death for TV stars. (See also: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip)

I read somewhere that when the DVD came out, REM caught wind that they were having problems getting permission to use "Stand" and they were such huge fans of the show they demanded it be permitted and I think for free (or near free).

Also Better off Ted and Party Down. Also Bunk, which was so loving funny.

King of Queens actually had a super weird loss.jpg storyline at one point towards the end so that show can gently caress itself.

No, there was another whole loving season afterwards. Lovitz and Patrick Warburton, Jimmy James as D.B. Cooper. Yeah. Season 5 soured the punch.

Yeah, I meant when it was cancelled after Season 5. I actually liked Season 5, and Jon Lovitz did a heroic job of filling in for Phil, but it just wasn't going to be the same show.

guys, guys. Carnivale was really weird and fun. And it ended at the worst possible time. So let's all focus the power in our jerkin' crystals and superior intellects and important business connections towards getting one more season of a show HBO bailed on more than a decade ago. This is a big deal.
