It's a less good Jurassic park that's self aware and acknowledged multiple times in movie that it is. There is even a goon in there saying it. It was cool private pyle playing the evil security contractor. I'm glad he still gets work. It's real average though.

Why is it that the dinosaur only used its camouflage once? You'd think a massive predator-esque-camo dino would be rad as gently caress. Instead they wasted a great opportunity.

Also how did the dinosaur even know it was being monitored thermally to begin with? I get it is smart, but it's still a loving dinosaur with no knowledge of how thermodynamics work. Also why in the gently caress were they SURPRISED at all its abilities when THEY INTENTIONALLY MADE IT LIKE THAT? How did no one consult the scientist about what DNA was being used in any prior development stages. Even then how come this scientist just let this loving thing run around and never clue anyone in on what it could do, especially when people are dying? Triple question, why bother monitoring it thermally to begin with when they already know it can drop its body temperature, on top of the fact that it is cold blooded anyway, and its body temp would be the same as its environment and thermal monitoring would do jack poo poo.

only way it could've been better is if jeff bridges had played the dude who was more worried about his margarita than the dinosaurs. then they could've had him say, "watch it man, there's a beverage here!" only thing i can think of that makes me hesitate to say it was the greatest movie of all time.

I would have said Mad Max Fury Road. Action movies haven't been as good as Fury Road since the 90s.
