Because the Cheney regime thought that invading a couple of countries and creating the gitmo summer fun camp wasn't quite a big enough tip off that the US had slipped completely into fascism.

Since the colombus day anti-colonialist arguments are coming up, how can i best find a native american community and tell them "I'm not sorry, i'm glad white people took your land". I can get 3 or 4 protesters at the bus stop, but i dont feel like that's really worth the effort.

fascism is a force apparent in humanity only recently given name-branding. the fasces is an ancient symbol and that which it represents is older still i believe zizek is correct when he says that liberal socialists must reconcile democracy with fascism, how this may be achieved, well, that's something upon which I wouldn't dare opine

Agag posted:Afghanistan and Iraq lookin' good. Tell your PTSD soldiers with guns in their mouths it was a good effort. I was in ROTC in 2001, a senior in high school. Lots of my friends went to serve in Afghanistan and Iraq. I said "gently caress that", dropped out, and grew my hair long and did drugs for 10 years. I regret nothing, all those people died for pretty much nothing. Sitting in a base masterbating ,getting rocket attacked at night and occasionally leaving with hummers to be sniped at or helicopters that crash is not protecting America in any way. I guess it looks great on a resume, but I've got all my arms and legs. MattD1zzl3 fucked around with this message at 20:40 on Sep 30, 2015 |

Not only do we have police officers murdering minorities at home we have flying robots murdering our enemies abroad, striking fear into the hearts of many. the tacit agreement of the world to recognize America as the global police force speaks volumes to how fascist we are. we're not 1930s fascist though, that only happens if the right republicans get elected, or we get rocked by another terrorist attack. we're technocapitalist neo-fascists and our imperial icon is the $

Toadvine posted:Not only do we have police officers murdering minorities at home we have flying robots murdering our enemies abroad, striking fear into the hearts of many. Fascism is about control and imposing order. The US is more like a street gang. Sure, you can murder some poor kid in a driveby/drone strike and nobody ends up getting in trouble, but its not quite the Roman empire. Also, American military adventures lose trillions. Empires are supposed to be about making money, not driving your debt-to-GDP ratio over %100.
