your average soldier is a mechanic, or a cook, or a truck driver. true someone thousands of miles away might be killing someone while wearing more or less the same uniform they are, but they aren't personally any more involved in that than you are for paying the taxes that buy the bullet/hellfire missiles/jdams. I should know by now that the majority of civilians, and the vast majority of leftists, live in some kind of loving hollywood fantasy world where movies like the hurt locker seem believable but it still surprises me every time.
