I had to check when it came out, and I'll be damned it took more than a year for this to happen, I remember getting emailed about the game launching with a subscription model and thinking it'd be six months before it was f2p

I played this game for a while at launch Then I went overseas for two weeks and when I came back everybody else had stopped playing it I tried playing it for another couple days and was the only one in every zone the whole time and finally I just unsubbed e: even if it's free to come back, if they ruined my glorious waifus' boobs I dunno if I'd want to anyway

Trove is the best mmo because its like if minecraft was a real game instead of hours of grinding for slightly higher stats you blow up a dungeon in 3 minutes for the chance to get famcy cube recipes and cosmetics classes have 4 abilities so you dont need a goddamn novella to figure out how to stat and play them either

the best part of mmo's is that so many are derivative and terrible that the selling point for like, a quarter of them in the mmo hmo is "you can [attack animation] a [wacky monster]!" Shards of Saer'tal: become a corgi wrestler! Curbstomp a Yeti! [Game is actually a tedious grind, barely a semblence of a story, two unique combat mechanics]
