But I am miserable because I forbid myself the stuff from Monday to Friday evening. Alcohol makes me feel great. Why wouldn't a person want to feel like that all the time? I normally consume a liter of whiskey over a weekend. Do I have a problem?

I'm confused. Do you mean you want to drink alcohol all the time as in "I want to feel good and fun all the time?" If so, thats totally normal, nobody ever wants to feel bored and stuff. Or do you mean "Monday through Friday I'm just sitting there, counting the minutes until the weekend comes and I can have a drink?" If so, you need some stuff to do like hobbies or dating or the like.

When I drink, I always feel really dried out later. I dislike the feeling, and I dislike the taste of alcohol anyway, so I only drink socially, and even then, maybe a single glass that I probably will not finish.
