imo skyfall was fine but the back third or so was unnecessarily long and dragged the movie out waaay too much.

By the final epic scene at the mansion with all the action and whatever I was struggling to stay awake. Should have ended it in London imo with Bond catching the dude or whatever after the chase/action sequence instead of dragging it out.

Well sure the general plot is always "bad guy wants to do X, we must stop him from doing X" but it's the creative details of the plans and how they're stopped that make it interesting from film to film. Different plots allow for different villains, locales, tactics and gadgetry, all of it is rather neat imo.
