I only started reading the forums way after finding SA, so my earliest memories are from old front page articles. Cliff Yablonski Hates You, JeffK, ICQ chat logs, that kinda stuff. I actually remember the chain of links that brought me here, which is dumb as hell. I played an MMO called Asheron's Call back in 1999/2000 and there was a guy called Musashi that wrote articles complaining about stuff he didn't like in the game that were funny sometimes. On his site, he linked to a proto-blog called The Misanthropic Bitch who (surprise) hated everyone and everything. On her site, she linked to the Stile Project (which is now a porno site), and Stile and Lowtax teamed up on some articles there. I don't remember what they were, but it must have been funny enough that I started checking SA's front page regularly.

I went into FYAD and posted a callout thread and the guy I called out came in the thread and we insulted each other in the thread for a while. This was part of what FYAD was for at the time. This was from my initial reg, which was free back then, but which I lost track of when I lived in China. Started coming to the frontpage for photoshops in 2003. I think the first thread I ever read through was the Mechs in Art photoshop thread, which produced some great stuff. Coughed up my ten bucks in 2008 when some greedy gently caress instituted a countermeasure to my free lurking.

The doll fucker threads were amazing and could have gone on forever. So many crazy characters just kept getting discovered.
