You guys are going to look ridiculous when Dale Weise scores his 40th goal of the season - an overtime Stanley Cup-winning goal, no less.

Nah. The day Bruce Boudreau is fired we're sending Therrien to the sun.
And I believe Bruce Boudreau can turn Dutch Gretzky into Actual Gretzky.

So I looked at the boxscore of the Pens-Leafs game tonight and noticed that Clune took (or served?) a bench penalty for "leaving the penalty box" and I"m curious as to how the gently caress that actually happened? Like usually they don't even open the door until the time is up.

Didn't see the game but usually those are given because the player opens the door himself and exits the box before time.

Has anyone else had problem with getting the game recap sites to load the last few days or is it just me?
E: I have no problem with any of the other pages on nhl.com. Just the recaps.

More importantly: nobody was in the box in the first place

Ok, a joint HAS/CBAS venture, then.

Or maybe we can create our own space program (SASA?) and just periodically launch players on one-way trips as punishment for misdoings.

Yeah at this point Condon has been solid enough for this not to be the end of the world. God forbid they have to start Tokarski though.

they're going to address price's status after the morning skate. their next back to back is the 19th/20th and they have 4 days off and 3 days off in the middle of it, so condon could theoretically go every game

from the free agent pile, you have your choice of a ray emery or an ilya bryzgalov. i remember rob zepp startinga game or two so that qualifies him i guess

Lol both guys bit on that pass

Put Kuzya back on the first line; trade Backstrom and Orpik for a 2C and a defenseman who didn't commit a bunch of dumb penalties

Wait why are you suggesting to trade Backstrom? It's kind of cool to have two really good centers.

I've seen people struggle with this notion elsewhere. If Kuzya is cool and good and on the Ovi line... that must mean that Backstrom is not as good? Or perhaps still good, but now in need of defending with internet poasts? Or fodder for trades?

Having two top centers is great. Backstrom is still awesome. Caps are flush.

speaking of center depth i'm really happy with nick bonino and matt cullen. bonino doesn't have the wheels sutter did but his game looks a lot more rounded plus his contract is way better, and cullen is just about a million times better than maxim lapierre or marcel goc. he skates way faster than a 38 year old has any right to and he seems like a smart player who can use his stick well on the PK as well as bring a pretty decent offensive game for a 4C

reminder that there was a legit bidding war for orpik's services a couple years ago, lol if you don't think there's a lovely gm in the league (possibly even the penguins' own lovely gm) that wouldn't move at least a small asset for him

edit: and i always forget that filip forsberg was one of washington's prospects, jesus christ that was a bad trade
