Oh, yeah, a couple more details: when Florentine talks about Urges and Yielders, he's talking creatures we faced. Urges are the dogs we fought in the observatory, Yielders are sword-wielding demons and minotaurs. The Dodger is... a bit of a special case, and not the smallest in Florentine's ever-growing list of fuckups. He's really pretty incompetent as far as villains go. Some other stuff regarding enemies: the guy Adam killed and looted for petty cash is apparently called Spite, his smaller brothers we encountered in the towers are Nephilim (and think about implications of that name). Gargoyles of caves past are called Slander - given the Soulstone, you can pretty much guess about how these guys came to be.

Raphael doesn't just mean healer, it means "God heals". Michael, similarly, is not "he who is as god", but rather a rhetorical question, – "Mi Ka El", "Who is like god?"

I'm amused whenever Adam and Rebecca sass each other over minor trivia, like crucifix vs cross. Also curious whether we'll ever meet Abaddon, he sounds interesting.

Abaddon is waiting for his replacement, huh? Speculation on my part: Have fun sitting there in the soulstone room for the rest of eternity, I guess, Rebecca

Just dropping by to say that I was afraid the game would be actually bad, but it turned out a quality game. Especially the acting and the story. SGF does it great justice too, by picking at the faults of shoddy programming.

I'm guessing that the Dodger was that dragon thing that seemed to be destroying those portals a few chapters ago? That whole plotline was never really followed up on until now.

The first time we saw Aelf's helmet on the Arqua mantle stone, I thought it looked more like a potato than something you could wear. Also, are there any real differences between the charge-up weapons? As far as I can tell the only real differences seem to be: The first staff can fire without being fully charged. Aelf's sword can be used to stab when un-charged(if I remember right) The magician's wand can be used to destroy seals(all seals or only some?) Damage-wise they seem relatively similar, though I think the wand does a bit more damage than the others. Can you screw anything up by combining the elemental offerings into the Divine Bong before offering them individually?

So you traded a hit on your divine bong for the uitimate weapon... Didn't see that coming. I think there's probably some sort of ~optimised~ rotation you can do with the charge weapons to get most of them off at full power or as near to it as possible, considering you have enough of them now that you only need to wait with 2-3 enemies though doesn't really seem worth the trouble.

There's also the flintlock but we don't talk about the flintlock. The waterpipe segment probably isn't as random as it seems, there's a long relationship between drugs and divinity - hallucinogenic prophecies, not to mention even just oversaturating the brain with oxygen can induce altered states of consciousness. Breath is also often considered a symbol of life, with you breathing life into the Divine so he can share his treasure. It's quality mumbo jumbo, is what I'm saying.

Alternate interpretation of the previous episode: "Adam, dude, Adam, just imagine this: you are here looking at me, but there is someone watching you looking at me and talking about us, and there is someone ELSE watching them and talking about them watching you looking at me and talking about us. Layers, man! But... could there be somebody watching THEM and talking about them watching the other and talking about the other watching you looking at me and talking about us? What if that's us, man, making a big circle of existence! Whoa." "Or maybe everyone are all just figments of my imagination. Adam... are you? Perhaps you are just after-images of a man pretending to be another man? At least your friend there is kinda hot, imaginary or no." "Sorry, mind kinda wandered off. Okay, now think of time, not just any time but all time. Eternity. Think of eternity as something you can wield in your hand. All of time for you use as a weapon against your enemies. You would be undefeatable... you will win, will have won, will have always once won again. Yeah. Something like that. I call it the Dragon Sword because dragons are pretty kick-rear end..."

I'm amazed Rachel hasn't said anything about Adam's clearly magical coat of holding. I mean, look at all the stuff we're packing in there right now. Two swords, a shield, a handgun, a shotgun, a magically reloading not-grenade launcher, two magical staves, a wand, buttloads of ammo for the handgun and shotgun, nearly a dozen macguffins, and who knows WHAT all else. And it looks like he's not carrying anything more than he was when he came in the door.

That last page of the journal makes the guess that Rebecca was the person who wrote love letters to Florentine and that's why she's here quite a bit more likely. But then if she is his lover of however long ago 1) why is she helping Adam? 2) I could have sworn she was there when Florentine met Adam so why didn't he say anything to her? 3) is she still going to be on humanity's side when they get to the Soulstone or is she going to try and talk Adam into letting Gaul win?

The most obvious answers to what happened with the Surgeons is both horrifying and somewhat subtly shown. First off, Belial had burned skin. Fair enough, that's a problem. So he needed some skin. Anyone could have done, but a doctor? People trust a doctor. But there was something else. Belial's... Rather interesting choice of branded handwear. And, of course, who do you trust to deal properly with skin, with its transplantation and removal? Specialists in skin. Belial is devious. He is vicious. And that's heartbreaking, because in his way, he's almost as ineffective as Florentine as a villain

So, the editing on that is really weird. I feel like the cut where she throws the pennant should have happened before the "Let's do this". Also, my bet is on a magical trap that knocked Adam out, that's really the best guess I've got. Also, for why the sword and shrive ended up outside? I guess maybe our tower friend grabbed them as they were teleporting away? Travelers, I think they say "yoink" now in your modern words?
