This time next week the highly anticipated James Bond film, Spectre, will be unveiled at cinemas across the UK. Daniel Craig will be making his fourth – and probably his final – outing as everyone's favourite superspy and fans can expect lots of new gadgets courtesy of Q, unique villains and, of course, a bevy of beautiful women.

While we all know 007 for his international exploits and daring rescue missions, it's his cheeky one-liners and witty comebacks that have often set the scene and helped maintain a level of humour amid high-octane action. Since 1962, six actors including Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery, have embodied Ian Fleming's Bond and delivered the sophisticated alpha male's wisecracks, many of which have become quoted pieces of popular culture. Classic lines we have grown to love include "Martini; shaken, not stirred", and "The name's Bond. James Bond."

Last one I watched is the one where james bond goes to his orphanage, and money penny is hot.

The best james bond movie though, is gold finger.

They really need to stop making these in my opinion, because they are trying to make a grimdark bond. It used to be a comedy spy cliche , now it's all, I'm james bond youre gonna get tortured. Gets hit in the nuts.

I feel like Daniel Craig bond is getting more sensitive. Like Bond's used to be really rapey and expected sex from every woman that moved and now he's like "no I'm still in pain after losing my main bitch"

Skyfall was the Bond version of The Dark Knight. It was seriously the same loving movie / plot / disfigured anarchist baddie. Which is why it was good.

Spectre will be The Dark Knight Rises. A lot of hype but ultimately a letdown that will bludgeon you with darkness and an interminable plot that goes on way too long.

Brosnan was cool but also was in The World is Not Enough which was like the Quantum of Solace of campy bond. And Tomororow Never Dies which is like full retard Bond

I have a soft spot for Roger Moore but he's like the dad Bond

I thought the new Batman movie was alright then I listened to Kevin Smith[1] rip it apart for 2 hours and I was like: Hmm, actually you might have a point.

[1]: Kevin Smith has a terrible stupid immature unironic dick & boobs sense of humor and he's very much a 40+ year old geek where he thinks jerking off & cum jokes are funny and him deeply murmuring these tales of jerking off and cum jokes into a studio microphone isn't creepy at all. I like Kevin Smith's movies because I'm in that weird Gen X ~ Millennial transitional zone as a 29 year old but I find a lot of his podcast stuff kind of gross and uncomfortable and not funny.

i'm watching the batman animated series for the first time, which is really cool and good. the last one i saw had adam west as a washed up actor who played a costumed vigilante on a forgotten tv show who inspired batman and they teamed up to punch a fat nerd neckbeard toy collector who was re-enacting crime from the tv show to blackmail the city for money for more toys

in the end his place explodes and he screams NOOO MY PRECIOUS TOOOOOOOYS it was so great

I am 30 and feel the exact same way about Kevin Smith. But he's right about that movie. I gotta listen to that.

I was in the theater and was mostly bored, and once it finally got to the ticking-time-bomb chase with Gary Oldman flopping around in the truck it totally lost me. And Batman and Bane were punching each other while garbling in those accents. Later I was visiting the family for Christmas, and it was playing on the TV, and my dad looked up from his laptop and laughed and went "this is AWFUL."

Daniel Craig is the best Bond, Sean Connery never really came off as being physically capable of being an international superspy. Quantum of Solace sucked but Casino Royale was really cool.

Yeah the Brosnan Bond movies were a little too halfassed for my taste. Camp can be good, like in Kingsmen, but it needs to knock it out of the park.

The Grey Ghost episode was one of the few ones I remember twenty years ago, so it must have been awesome.

The one where the riddler had them in a maze was fun as hell.
And the Mr. Freeze one was so emotional I just couldn't even.
Then there was the one where he was blind and had to use that red-eyed infared thing gently caress I should watch the old animated series again.
