Many credit unions were founded like this but actually take all comers these days. Also lots of cities just have municipally founded credit unions that have always taken on all persons. If you're interested then go in and ask.

how come america has worse banking than many literal third world countries? like if i want to send money to someone's account, they give me their bank account number and sort code and my money goes to their account in seconds at no charge to either of us and is available for them to spend inside of an hour, regardless of the time/day. the only things i have to pay for on my current account is £1/day or something if i use my overdraft, and a few quid if i want to have a chequebook because it's not loving 1974 anymore and nobody uses cheques in the developed world so they make the drat things on demand.

Banks will not even let you in their banks if your're poor, they will trip a silent alarm and have you arrested for bank robbery. As a poor person in the US if you try to open an account at a bank they will take your house and dog as collateral. If you're poor banks are allowed to take your money at any time for no reason at all and then charge a fee for this. Also, your deposits are not FDIC insured if you make less than a certain income. Lastly, if the bank uses your money for fraud or any illegal activities you will be held liable and thrown in jail without a trial if you are below the poverty level. Don't even THINK about going to a bank if you are poor and black. All these things are true and if you disagree you are a naive rich white American goon.

My country is not the best, maybe below average, but you will get 2000 € fine for false flag alarm and calling the popo with no reason. Also it is disguisting, cops who arrest poor people in public places just for being there and being poor, should be fired with no retirement.

Well yes, it is kind of odd to read this thread. You have to pay the bank because heh you have less than 1000 $? I live in a post-USSR hellhole and you pay about 2$ (or even 1$ if you apply for it online) for opening an account and Visa or Mastercard debit card associated with it (if you have a job your employer will just give you one and pay your salary on it). Withrawing money is 0% in your bank's ATM and something negligible I don't even remember what in other banks ATMs. In addition the bank pays you interest on cash you have on the card. In addition all sorts of discounts if you pay with a card for your say groceries or whatever you want to buy.

i was in chexsystems because loving everquest (lol) was somehow able to keep doing a monthly charge on an account that I had closed years prior, despite the fact that I actually went into the bank and formally closed the account at the time. And the bank was even a huge pain in the rear end about that; I had to wait in the lobby and meet some loser in his office, and he tried to talk me out of it for like 15 minutes. so even though the account was closed, the bank kept paying everquest every month and adding a $35 fee on top every time, and then it went into some daily fee because it was in the red and built up to like $1k. and then they put me in chexsystems. and they never even sent me one letter about it. loving BofA sucks. I got out of chexsystems by disputing it and telling them that I never had a BofA account, BofA couldn't prove that I did so I won. But it took a loving year

If you have, you'd know suits aren't required, just that the high incomes always have at least one dollar sign on their clothes. Look at Ted dibiase.

Here in AZ we have Indian reservations that do payday/title loans and they have drat near 200% interest, so I just chalk it up to Big Chief Double Down handling his whomp'um big slot pay outs at the Adobe Palace Casino and Suites.

When I worked at Domino's they gave us all a reloadable debit card thing (idk if it was RushCard but same concept) and put our paychecks on that instead of giving us paper checks. The pretense was 'going green' of course. It let you do 1 free transfer after a check is deposited so you had to use it to transfer everything into your real bank account. Otherwise hella high fees for random poo poo.

I haven't seen a paper check in my last 3 jobs. PDFs only. I work for a major cable TV company and as slimy as they can be sometimes they'd never dare try to pay us in loving cards.
