yeah i guess but if you were willing to steal a cops rifle you'd probably have no problem you know, buying one off somebody lol. lets say the chances of a future mass murderer who happens to be a felon who also is incapable of buying one face to face to walk by that particular cop's car at that exact time ... vs some dude who just grabbed it to sell it to someone who is literally going to do nothing with it at all are pretty slim
