Since my NFL team is doing crap this season, i've decided to start following the NBA too. Since I don't have a geographic link to any NBA team, i'm in that place where I still don't really have a team to root for. Sure, the Warriors are fun and LeBron is insanely good, but hell if i'm going for one of those teams. I'm kind of gravitating towards the Bucks because they are a young team, how's expectations for them this season?

They'll be fun with Jabari Parker doing things. They have a pretty good shot at making the playoffs this year, but they are in the East so that might not be so special. Kibner posted:I think so. I mean, this makes him sound like he was pedestrian on offense. He had a usage rate of almost 28% and a TS% of just under 60%. That is elite. He had a bad game last night, but he was a legit MVP-level player last season, and arguably the best player overall, which is a feat considering several guys had huge seasons last year. He isn't creating offense with the ball in his hands for himself or others very often.

Kibner always sounds like hes not excited about AD cuz he's watched every game he's ever played but rest assured he'd die without him

AD puts huge pressure on the opposing team's defense because of his ability to finish at the rim and hit mid-range jumpers. He is also pretty good at offensive rebounds. He struggled last night for a few reasons:
Davis still requires someone to get him the ball when he is in good positions and have competent enough teammates to not get triple teamed in order to score effectively. He got none of that last night. Kibner fucked around with this message at 21:32 on Oct 28, 2015 |

Cool Buff Man posted:Kibner always sounds like hes not excited about AD cuz he's watched every game he's ever played but rest assured he'd die without him Pretty much. He is fantastic at many things on offense. The hope is that this is just another learning curve because he hasn't had to be the main point the offense runs through before. The offense has typically been based around him, but he hasn't had to be the primary playmaker with the ball in his hands. Remember that his mid-range jumper was trash his rookie season. It was an elite shot for him last year.

Frustrating offense and having the defense bail the team out is pretty much what i'm used to. Also i'm watching last night's NO-GS game, was Steph Curry always this insanely good? I'm pretty amazed by his play so far

The Bucks are an acquired taste. If you want to avoid a front runner pick but want some success this year, go with the Rockets, Thunder or Clippers.

E_Motion posted:I'm a Ravens fan. Frustrating offense and having the defense bail the team out is pretty much what i'm used to. Pretty close, although his first few years in the league were marred by injury issues and some misuse. Basically his range is anything past the half-court line and he can get his shot off instantly. He's also got extremely good handles and is a great passer. But it's that shot that really separates him and makes him unique-he can get it off pretty much at will so guarding him is extremely difficult, especially cause he'll still just pull up right over someone and hit a good number.

You could also hop on the Lakers bandwagon, it'll be rough for the next couple of years but it pays off for long periods pretty regularly vv Speaking of, Russell is gonna start tonight.

Root for the Detroit Andre Drummonds so you can watch a man rebound the ball while simultaneously killing everyone in his vicinity. Also the team throws a lot of sweet lobs
