Shattenkirk is still injured and it appears to be a groin issue. The fact that he was initially listed as DTD a couple weeks ago coupled with Bouwmeester's lingering issues from a groin injury last year do not make me confident in his ability to return 100% anytime soon.

He and Sam Gagner are the same age, and yet it seems like they've been in the NHL forever simply because the made the NHL at 18 and have never been bad enough to disappear entirely or good enough to have ever been considered a YOUNG GUN.

This happens to me a lot with Bergeron and Eric Staal since they both debuted in 2003 as 18-year-olds, and then we had the lockout, and then Crosby+Ovechkin debuts, so it feels like they're a generation before those two even though they're really not. They're both only 30 but it feels like they've been in the league for ages, and I guess they kind of have.
