It would actually be soul-crushingly depressing if it weren't for the songs.For example, Rebecca immediately latches onto Josh after seeing him again for the first time in almost a decade. Why? Because the time she spent at summer camp with him as her sort-of boyfriend was the last time she was ever truly happy, and she just wants to be happy again. Everything we've seen before that point shows her broken home filled with loneliness and everything we've seen after that shows her being forced into a life of her mother's own making. Josh is the answer to life being good and being worth living.

Man, Greg is a good person and the American health care system still sucks. Those songs where both really good as well. "Thanks for this this town three short hours from the beach, where all of your dreams can stay just out of reach." is a clever line and Santino Fontana has a great voice to deliver it. Also even though the show clearly presents her as the enemy, Valencia is quite relatable and objectively right. Josh is kind of an rear end in a top hat to her. The only character I don't like at all so far is Paula. She just doesn't do anything for me and I am pretty sure, she is not an healthy influence for poor Rebecca. If this show keeps topping itself like this, I will be really sad once it eventually gets canceled.

I was literally JUST LAMENTING to my boyfriend that it's like a seven-episode season that might not get renewed, I'm so happy  that only got published today too wow.also both songs last week were stellar but I watched Greg's a few times because I love Billy Joel and I am starting to also love Greg.
