when I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child - but now I am a man.

thought it escalated far too quickly, which meant i was questioning the situation rater than just going with it.
cold calculating Mark before any panic sets in would have realised he'd need to prepare enough food for the fictitious party so April wouldn't twig that there never were any other guests. he'd probably even put thought into what's going to keep best for two days of eating leftovers.
and why was there no booze in the flat? Jeremy lives there.

I think we often forget that Mark is not a cold and calculating criminal mastermind, but an arrogant moron.

The ending was really funny, but I thought much of the first 15 minutes was a bit of a shambles. The whole queen bit was stupid and unfunny, and the mole mapping & colonoscopy part was just weird and contrived. As was Angus' Byzantine psychosis bit, but I forgave that for Herodotus & a bowl of müsli.

Funny ep, but basically the same as the gently caress Bunker one back in S05, so also disappointing.

What year does this season take place? I thought his son would be 5 by now, if it's 2015.

The chronology has never really added up.

Ok at the end of the episode you see Mark and Jez walking away from the viewpoint of someone behind a wheel. Who could that be?

The last scene of the last ep will be a Sopranos reference.

The way Valerie says "gently caress your shoes!" in the third episode never fails to crack me up and as such it is the best episode.

That is the best episode and Mark's sudden, ecstatic "I'm having sex with a teenage girl!" is my favourite Peep Show line.

Changing "something stupid like .... I like you" to just generic bad singing is a weird shift.

The office politics stuff that turns Mark from a weirdo to an oppressed drone seems like a really stupid idea too.

The latest two series of Veep are easily better than the half-arsed last The Thick of It series. Stronger characters, better writing, more laughs.
