Look, i don't like Handsome Jack, but:

Fiona has no plan and is just a conned con-artist
Jack has a plan and is was one of the most powerful people in the series.

Also, we know that Jack won't just take over Rhys' body or something because Rhys is narrating this, so don't even try that one.
