Klingberg and Demers are the only defensemen on this team that are currently taking a half-step before making a play until losing it being rushed for time and space. Since Oduya's contract means he probably stays, scratch Jordie and play Nemeth. The attack can't start in these conditions and it's amazing how terrible a team this skilled is when trying to rush past a steady defense.

I think Razor touched on this, but the Stars have averaged around 45 shots forward against the Leafs in recent years, and yet they can never get a bounce and they lose every time. Just one of those wonderful narrative arcs the RNG likes to spit out sometimes.
