Sprong's been serviceable. Not spectacular but he's been invisible partly because he's not doing anything really bad either. He actually doesn't look totally lost out there. If he's not overwhelmed then I think the best way for him to learn to play at an NHL level is by playing in the NHL. But keeping your best forward prospect in the minors until the inevitable firing of the coach and system change that's coming later this year isn't really a bad idea either.

Also this has gone on long enough now that I'm starting to wonder if Sid is actually trying to get Johnston fired. He just isn't consistently engaged out there. He's always had a bad habit of passing up shooting chances to set up inferior teammates but he's taken it to a whole new level this year.
