Whenever something like this happens, it's never people thinking that Oregon is exactly one spot better, it's generally the two being further apart and a few more people thinking Oregon is three or four places better. It's still funny though.

The only thing that disappointed me about last night's victory was the missed targeting call on Baylor. The dude launched Mixon's helmet and mouthpiece out. I would like to see a rule to let things like that be retroactively be punished.Oh and Dimon acting like a chump giving the crowd a nice "gently caress y'all" on his way out.

I think a Ohio State Iowa Big Ten Championship with the winner going to the playoffs would be huge for the conference especially since most years on division is usually bad. 30 consecutive regular season wins is the new record for any conference, whatever that's worth when you don't count the conference championship game. Last week also happened to be Meyer's 50th game at OSU and the best 50-game start in the modern era. quote:Best 50-Game Starts at FBS School He's got a good shot at winning 50 games in his first four seasons.

He also can't beat Bret Bielema either, apparently. And his teams only have even marginal QB play one year out of every five or so. His bowl game record in the past six years is 2-4 and outside of the cotton bowl win the teams have looked listless and unprepared for the bowl games. He's a good coach with a glaring blind spot for how to build a modern offense, and that's not enough to compete anymore.

I honestly think these schools are just trying to get ready for Saban to retire so they can grab on to the West. I wish the conference was a little more evenly divided because while it rocks watching 5 legitimate title contender teams play week in and week out, it kind of makes the championship game a bit of a wet fart. Granted, Florida is on the rise, as is UT. Georgia is Georgia, but I have a feeling South Carolina is going to be a toilet bowl for the next couple of years, as is Mizzou. Vandy and Kentucky are what they are and will never change.

Indiana can gash most teams on the ground if Howard is healthy. He's really good, the passing game is good enough that defenses have to respect it, and they have one of the best o-line's in the country. Shame about that defense.

I think he is a big ox of a man with a big heart for his players but a problem of saying stupid things when he talks. He may be stupid, I don't know. I think that he makes good coordinator hires and knows how to self-promote. Every single game I see that stupid media guide with the offensive line on the front. The thing is, it is allowing him to recruit the same caliber of offensive line that LSU and Alabama recruit which really is helpful. It helps protect shaky QB play and allows a depleted running back corp to still make yards. It's the right approach to building a program in the SEC. You either go with the LSU/Bama mold or you try to spread it out and gas the defense.
