I believe your being is, in its very essence as being, inscribed with non-being. Just as death makes life so spicy sweet, so does non-being, confronted against and within being, spur the soul towards its active state of becoming. Anxiety is the other side of freedom, despair is a response to anxiety. Anxiety, unlike fear, has no object attached. Where we can confront the object of our fear, the object of anxiety is nothing at all, it is the non-being confronting our being from within. Anxiety is a condition of freedom as well as courage. Embracing ones freedom to be in the face of non being is what Paul Tillich describes as courage in the true existential sense. It is an absurd gesture of overcoming non-being through being, this action is an act of faith, because non-being is irreducible. Through Christ, we find our link in overcoming death with life. Christ passes through the dialectical process, living, dying, then overcoming both and bringing forth a new spiritual life that we too can partake in through faith. Good luck and God bless OP
