My brother and some friends were working on a mod for Operation Flashpoint a long time ago where you play as a resistance fighter in a country being caught between NATO and Warsaw forces in a proxy war. You start off as a cop trying to keep people alive in a Soviet raid on a small town by finding them, ordering them to trucks and driving them to safety while trying to find/loot food, supplies, etc. Then you have to take them to an old farm and start arming them when it becomes clear the Soviets have overthrown the King and start attacking areas that had supported him. Each mission carried over supplies fromt he previous, even had hidden objectives like robbing convoys, sabotaging choppers so they can't be used later and even saving US/UK/West german special forces guys and integrating them in to your unit for awhile. But then after like 12 missions NATO would show up and invade, and you could choose which side, if any, to fight for . The ending they were aiming for would feature the player leading a raid to steal a nuclear weapon out of a Russian bomber that had been forced to land after taking fire and choosing which town to drive it to and detonate it, or just saying "gently caress it", dumping the bomb and some supplies on a boat and sailing away to become a shady 3rd world black market arms dealer. I always thought they had a neat concept going

I would play this so I could safely and cheaply fulfill my lifelong dream of being run over by a car in every major city in the world That said there's no reason to restrict this to bicycles; it'd make a lot more sense as a general tourism program allowing you to walk around world cities or sim-bike or sim-drive or sim-fly-around-like-Superman or whatever you want
