Im not sure if it was heavy rain. Whats the game that was a creepy murder mystery until suddenly an old lady turns into an energy based flying robot thing and you have to fight her matrix style and everything just goes completely off the rails after that.

I thought Last of Us had p. good writing. Certainly better than the dogshit writing Bioware games have. Jesus Christ, Mass Effect had some of the worst writing in any media ever. Only Ubisoft has hackier writing in games

Sounds like Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit). Made by the same studio as Heavy Rain.
