Everyone says Nintendo doesn't get the a Internet but I think the Miiverse shows they get it perfectly. It's the most Internet thing on any of the three consoles and I will miss it dearly when it's gone

They saw what the series was producing and were like gently caress that. Also the reason they tried to kill off the Yoshi franchise with mediocre entries. Yeah, yeah who would have ever guessed the true reason for titles like Yoshi's Topsy Turvy were as a counter-measure put in place to deter young gamers from getting too interested in Yoshi to the point they'd create Yoshisonas.
