Yeah I always thought the whole "relievers are just lovely starting pitchers" thing was overblown. I mean if that's the case you could just as easily say you shouldn't vote for any corner fielding position because they're just lovely CF/SS/2B/catchers. It just seems an overreaction to a lot of the emphasis that's been given to closers in baseball the last couple decades or so.
