humor is often the subversion of the audiences expectations, if you distill this to its core, randomness could be construed as attempting to find humor in its more pure form. however, if there is no context to subvert, then the random nature of the humor can seem irritating rather than enjoyable

I don't find a lot of random humor outside in the real world anymore, but that's probably because I don't hang out with dumb high school kids now that I'm not a dumb high school kid too. Also I'm really good at voting for the top vote in a forum poll without looking at the results first. I've got to have like a 98.5% success rate. I'm probably the best on the forums at that. This one was easy by the way.

i look at you two, zzulu and misanthrope, speaking a different language than me, the language of random humor, and i feel angry because i don't understand it am i human? am i missing some part of me, some aspect, that allows others to grasp the comedy in these situations. and without this bit, i am not a person?
