Hrothgar was ready for that swing, stepping to the side and sticking his foot out, sending the mummy dropping to the stone floor.

Darting in, he grabs his sword in both hands, planting a foot on the mummy's stomach and, with one overhead chop, takes its head.

He gives the wrapped corpse a kick and spits on it for good measure.

Use Dodge and Trip to nullify that hit.

Reminder: you do not have to move adjacent to a piece of furniture to find treasure in it. Nor, for that matter, can you actually search a piece of furniture. Searching for treasure anywhere in a room automatically checks the whole room.

Also, as mentioned at the start (which was, admittedly, some time back),there are no traps in this quest.
