probably helps that he spent like 5 years in Boston's system and knows how the Bruins play, but ya, he's been very noticeable. He's always a guy I rooted for when he was with the B's but he never had a chance of making the lineup with the way Boston's D used to be.

Yeah he moves the puck and skates pretty well

I just wish he was bigger because his size does him zero favors defensively

That was one of those standard "this game's starting to turn ugly, let's pre-emptively throw the agitators out at the first passable excuse" thing refs do, right?

On that note - I feel like I've hardly seen Daley out there at all. Which is probably for the best.
Maybe not the kind of play you're wanting from a $4 million dollar man but gently caress it.

Glad you're gone Scuderi.

No I mean like even in games before this (like under johnston) too. He's been up for a decent amount and honestly he looks like an NHL defenseman, which is a bit odd for someone who was a "wait what who is that" when he got called up.

Hes easy to get mixed up for Warsofsky too since theyre of similar stature and wear #6 (Daley) and #5 (Warsofsky)

Hornqvist just reminded me that skating the puck along the boards and giving guys a free shot at hammering you into the boards as hard as they can and injuring your shoulder is not a great idea.

Gotcha. Ya, he looked good with the Bruins in limited call ups as well, but like I said he didn't have much of a chance of scratching Boston's lineup at the time. I think a lot of it is he's kind of a poor man's Torey Krug, which while not a bad thing, wasn't (and isn't) something the Bruins needed, obviously. He could be a nice 3rd pairing defenseman/2nd pp type guy, I think.

Penguins are doing ok on possession, probably in part because with a 2 goal lead the Bruins are content to allow them to, but generating no scoring chances or sustained pressure at all.

I feel like the Penguins didn't just figuratively forget how to score because Johnston's system stymied offense but like they literally no longer remember how to shoot pucks into nets
