He's always a guy I rooted for when he was with the B's but he never had a chance of making the lineup with the way Boston's D used to be.

I think a lot of it is he's kind of a poor man's Torey Krug, which while not a bad thing, wasn't (and isn't) something the Bruins needed, obviously. He could be a nice 3rd pairing defenseman/2nd pp type guy, I think.

Penguins are doing ok on possession, probably in part because with a 2 goal lead the Bruins are content to allow them to, but generating no scoring chances or sustained pressure at all.
